Today I'll take you to a peaceful place where you can stock up on salt, savor seafood and fish, all in a super cozy setting. Plus, it's so dreamy, you'll feel like you're seeing life through rose-colored glasses!

Let's start with the boutique at the Salin de L'île Saint Martin in GRUISSAN, located 30 minutes (30KM) from my Maison d'hôtes ÔVILLAGE.
I shop there regularly to replenish my kitchen and bathroom salt supply, or to find original gifts ideas. Gruissan's fleur de sel has been my favorite since I discovered it. Whether it's in a glass jar, a small casserole dish with marine colour, or in a rustic wooden box sealed with wax, FLEUR DE SEL is indispensable in my home.
In this charming boutique, you may purchase some salt as well as local products such as the
BEL ÉVÊQUE wine, produced at actor Pierre Richard's estate located on L'île Saint Martin, above the salt marshes.

The restaurant overlooking the salt pond is superb. In the morning at 11 o'clock, take a guided walking tour of the salt marshes, then, on your return, around quarter past noon, enjoy a seafood platter at the CAMBUSE DU SAUNIER.
